I am still (yes, still!) fascinated with the radial symmetry function in Adobe Illustrator on iPad Pro, and I love to create vibrant patterns with it on the fly. It's a great way to experiment with colours and textures. It often makes me realize that a shape that I thought uninspiring while isolated can be a great contribution to an artwork when multiplied symmetrically.

Some of my experiments killed the app, though, so for the final touches I now and then had to switch to the desktop version. If you do this, be warned: Some features are not currently supported across plattforms, and you might loose aspects of your artwork. That being said, having a mobile Illustrator version is great fun!
